Public Affairs and Advocacy

Europa Donna, as a coalition of 47 European countries, represents the needs of European women by advocating at a European Union level and beyond for early breast cancer detection and optimal care according to European guidelines and standards.

After decades of dedication, Europa Donna has secured a place at the table for European Parliament activities and works hand-in-hand with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). Early collaboration resulted in European Parliament Declarations on Breast Cancer, and Europa Donna is now an active partner in various European Parliament groups and activities.

In turn, this direct involvement has extended to the European Commission, which is implementing breast cancer initiatives with continued input from Europa Donna.

In addition to this direct collaboration, Europa Donna is involved in European-level organisations and initiatives that seek to have breast cancer issues heard and addressed in the EU.
